Privacy policy
What happens to anything you send me through this website.
This covers the website only. It is not the Notice of Privacy Practices. Clients receive that separately, in writing, before services begin, and it governs protected health information under HIPAA. Nothing on this page changes those rights.
What I collect
Only what you type into the consultation form: your name, your email address, the age range you select for your child, and whatever you choose to write in the message box. Nothing else. The form asks you not to include diagnoses, medical records, or other sensitive health information, and I would rather you kept it that way until we are talking on a secure channel.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, uses no advertising or tracking pixels, and has no social media trackers. I do not know who visits or how many.
Page fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. That is the only third party this site contacts on its own.
What I do with it
I use what you send to reply to you, to schedule a consultation call, and to decide honestly whether I am the right fit. That is the whole list.
I do not sell your information. I do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or lead-generation services. I do not add you to a mailing list.
Who else touches it
Two services handle your message on its way to me: the company that hosts this website and processes the form, and my email provider. Both are ordinary commercial services with their own security practices and their own privacy terms. Neither uses your message for anything beyond delivering it.
How long I keep it
If we do not end up working together, I delete the inquiry within twelve months. If we do, your records move into my clinical records system and are kept as long as professional and legal requirements demand, which is longer.
Security, honestly stated
The site is served over HTTPS, and I keep access to the inbox limited to me. But email and web forms are not secure health channels, and no method of transmission over the internet is completely safe. That is exactly why the form asks you to hold back clinical detail until we have a private conversation.
Children
This site is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. The age range on the form describes your child; it does not identify them.
Your choices
You can ask me what I have, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email arielle@steadyrootsbehavioralservices.com and I will confirm when it is done. You can also simply not use the form and email me directly instead.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date below.
